Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in the Los Angeles area for a full-time, hybrid role. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, you will work on radios, devices drivers, and security features across Linux-based systems.

The position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, 5+ years of embedded software experience, and expert C programming with Linux kernel driver development. U.S. citizenship is required; background check is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or relevant fields.
• 5+ years of embedded system software development experience.
• Expertise in C programming and experience in Linux kernel driver development.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of software portion of MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.
• Network management software and web interface implementation.
• Implementation of different security protocols and encryption algorithms.
• Audio streaming and push to talk voice application implementation.
• Improve product security and robustness to meet NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP criteria.
• Implementation of testing software for product performance and reliability testing.
• Device driver and BSP development for ARM and RISC-V based systems.
• Linux system customization and scripting.
