Job summary

Safran Federal Systems is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design and develop custom code for our R-PNT portfolio, ensuring reliability, safety, robustness, and long-term viability of product designs for government and military customers.

You will design robust embedded software in C and C++ for customers with demanding requirements, contribute to project planning and verification, and help extend legacy hardware or create new solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience; education plus experience considered.
• Experience with C/C++, Qt, Linux, Embedded Systems, SQL, Networking, GitHub, GitLab, Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for embedded systems and applications in C and C++.
• Provide direction to project teams to meet customer requirements and perform testing.
• Contribute to project planning and develop innovative designs or modifications.
• Participate in software estimation efforts.
• Assist in final qualification and validation of documentation.
• Analyze defects, perform failure analysis, and propose corrective actions.
• Document findings and communicate results to engineering staff; may act as technical contact on small contracts.
