Safran - Navigation & Timing seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our West Henrietta, NY team. You will help advance our timing products, collaborate with an international group and contribute to resilient PNT technologies while working in a hybrid office setting.

The role emphasizes embedded development, Linux proficiency, and strong collaboration with product management and peers to deliver innovative features and robust software.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in C, Python, and Bash.
• Experience with embedded systems and Linux in an environment using Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new features.
• Troubleshooting defects, identifying root cause, and proposing corrections.
• Collaborating with product management to address customer requirements.
• Guiding and mentoring junior developers.
• Participating in peer code review.
• Working with the latest in Resilient PNT technology.
• Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
