Job summary

Integrated Solutions for Systems, Inc. (IS4S) seeks a Software Engineer to develop embedded software for APNT systems on-site in Auburn, AL or Huntsville, AL. You will contribute to navigation algorithms, sensor interfaces, and platform integration.

You will work across the embedded software lifecycle, implementing modern C++ code in Linux environments, performing testing, debugging, and collaboration with systems and hardware engineers to deliver reliable PNT capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with modern C++ and object-oriented design.
• Experience developing software in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test processes.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Clear, maintainable, well-documented code and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software components for assured PNT systems using modern C++.
• Implement navigation algorithms processing data from inertial sensors, GPS/GNSS receivers, clocks, and other sources.
• Create and maintain software interfaces to sensors, hardware, and host platforms.
• Integrate software with navigation hardware and platform systems, troubleshoot interfaces.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests to verify functionality and performance.
• Analyze test results, investigate defects, and support debugging and optimization.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and navigation engineers to demonstrate assured PNT capabilities.
