Job summary

CFD Research Corporation is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design embedded hardware for aerospace and military systems. You will architect circuits, interfaces, and highly reliable PCBs, guiding from schematic capture through validation.

Emphasis on signal integrity, EMI/ESD controls, and documentation per AS9100-style processes. The role requires a strong hands-on approach in a fast-paced R&D environment, collaboration with firmware teams, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS/PhD preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience with embedded hardware design and multilayer PCBs.
• Familiarity with aerospace/military documentation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of embedded electronic circuits.
• Architect and implement communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB).
• Guide multilayer PCB layout for signal integrity and manufacturability.
• Perform circuit simulations and EMI/ESD controls in aerospace context.
• Collaborate with embedded firmware engineers for HW/SW integration.
