CFD Research Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in power electronics, schematic capture, PCB layout, and EMI/EMC compliance. The role focuses on high-performance, rugged electronics for mission-critical aerospace applications, blending hardware and firmware with advanced simulation, modeling, and testing.

The ideal candidate will lead design reviews, implement EMI/ESD mitigation, and collaborate with mechanical teams.

Qualificações

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong background in power electronics, converter topologies, switching devices, magnetics.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout using industry CAD tools (Altium, Mentor, KiCad).
• Understanding EMI/ESD, grounding, shielding, filtering, and noise control methods.
• Experience with SPICE circuit simulation tools and aerospace design documentation workflows.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, and validation of advanced power electronic circuits and subsystems.
• Perform schematic capture and oversee PCB layout using industry CAD tools.
• Use SPICE-based simulators for circuit analysis and optimization.
• Apply electromagnetic modeling using Ansys or similar tools for EMI and thermal analysis.
• Implement EMI/ESD mitigation to meet MIL and aerospace standards.
• Support qualification and compliance with AS9100 and related specs; generate design reports and validation packages.
• Conduct design reviews, prototype development, and hands-on testing.
