Job summary

Eka Robotics in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced embedded engineer to help build an advanced, integrated manipulation system. You will lead electrical engineering efforts for custom robots, shaping system architecture, firmware, prototyping, and testing.

The role requires a strong background in C/C++, Python, and power electronics, plus hands-on firmware development for microcontrollers, RTOS, and bus protocols like I2C, UART, and SPI.

Qualifications

BS, MS, or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, CS or related field.
5+ years bringing robotic or consumer products to market.
Proficient in C, C++, and Python.
Strong background in power electronics design and debugging.
Experience in firmware development for microcontrollers.
Advanced knowledge of embedded RTOS and concurrency primitives.
Familiar with I2C, UART, SPI and other bus protocols.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering for custom robots, including system architecture.
Design power electronics such as motor controllers, battery management systems, and power distribution.
Integrate sensing and cameras for robotic perception.
Oversee PCBA bringup, validation, and troubleshooting.
Architect, design, and implement software for high performance embedded systems.
