Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to architect, design, integrate and validate high-speed digital and A/V electronics. You will own full lifecycle PCBAs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust architectures for embedded systems.

You will use Altium Designer for PCB schematics, perform EMI/ESD and thermal analysis, and contribute to design reviews, xFMEA and verification activities across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years OR advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience using Altium Designer or similar eCAD tools to develop and maintain PCB schematics.
• Experience contributing to design, development and validation of digital electrical systems across the product lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on board- and system-level architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect, integrate and test an embedded acoustic and video system with standard and custom components.
• Architect, develop and test PCBA designs of varying complexity and own full lifecycle of PCBAs.
• Lead design reviews, xFMEA and test documentation, and collaborate across teams on robust architectures.
• Deliver technical reviews, test results and operation manuals.
• Perform EMI/ESD, fixture development and thermal analysis on components, boards and subsystems.
• Contribute to system-level design and verification through simulation, analysis and testing.
