Job summary

Laminar is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to own signal processing and firmware for process‑aware sensors. This hands‑on role sits at the intersection of embedded systems, DSP, and sensing methodology.

You will implement detectors and manage end‑to‑end signal data while partnering with Hardware and ML teams to illuminate industrial processes. You will work on ADC acquisition, filtering, sensor integration, and noise rejection; develop firmware in Zephyr; implement calibration

Qualifications

4+ years of embedded software for sensors or instrumentation.
Own design, implementation, and success of major components in a system.
Strong C/C++ on microcontrollers with Zephyr experience; devicetree/Kconfig/west knowledge.
Experience with filters, sampling, aliasing, and signal chains.
Analog: ADCs, gain, references, grounding, and noise handling.
Testing heavy: unit tests, hardware mocks, CI, realistic data.

Responsibilities

Acquisition & Conditioning: own the sensing signal chain from ADC to integration and averaging, including calibration.
Sensor Integration: bring up and drive new detectors with production‑ready drivers.
Noise Rejection: extract real signals in noisy environments (vibration, EMI, thermal drift).
Firmware development: write firmware in Zephyr to connect detectors into the sensor stack.
Calibration: implement on‑device coefficient storage and calibration workflows.
Device Connectivity: build drivers for OTA and health monitoring to the Edge Gateway.
