Job summary

Laminar is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Edge Platform to own and build the next‑generation edge computing platform. You’ll shape how software, ML models, and LLM workloads run on Linux‑based edge devices and factory servers.

This hands‑on role spans architecture to production deployment, turning open challenges into reliable systems and guiding others. You will work on signal conditioning, sensor integration, firmware in Zephyr, and secure updates, collaborating across teams in a

Qualifications

4+ years of production systems software experience.
Deep Linux experience including admin, networking, filesystems, and performance.
Experience shipping to on-prem, edge, embedded, or robotics environments.
Proficiency in Rust, Python, C/C++, or Go.
Familiarity with deploying ML models on edge hardware and constrained resources.
Experience with deployment automation, monitoring, and secure updates.

Responsibilities

Acquire & condition signals: ADC acquisition, timing, filtering, integration, and calibration.
Sensor integration: new detectors, board bring-up, and drivers.
Noise rejection: mitigate vibration, EMI, thermal drift, and related issues.
Firmware development: Zephyr-based interfaces for detectors in the sensor stack.
Calibration: on‑device coefficients, external procedures, provisioning flow.
Device connectivity: drivers, OTA, and health monitoring to Edge Gateway.
