Job summary

General Motors is seeking a software engineer to define, design, and develop control systems, diagnostics, and communications for propulsion thermal management within the VMEC organization. You will translate product strategy into user stories, support agile ceremonies, and collaborate with system architects to plan enablers and backlogs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a closely related engineering field with years of software/validation experience.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) integration and ECU testing.
• Proficiency in C and Python for automated testing and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Defines, designs, and develops control systems, diagnostics, and communications for VMEC propulsion thermal art.
• Develops software to manage integrated thermal loops for energy optimization.
• Translates product strategy into user stories and supports agile ceremonies.
• Collaborates with System Architect to plan enablers and rollout.
• Maintains and prioritizes the team backlog and coordinates with other product owners.
