Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking engineers to develop virtual embedded control systems and VECUs, working across Design Release, Tier 1 suppliers, and model integration partners. You will deploy VECU packages to GM users and apply production software, validating integrity through testing.

You will collaborate with Simulation Integration Engineers to integrate VECUs onto virtual benches, debug, and extend simulation capabilities. Hybrid work policy applies: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years in software or systems engineering.
• Experience with embedded control modules, CAN/LIN/SPI networks, and programming in C/C++/SystemC/Python.
• Familiarity with Gerrit, Jenkins, Git; debugging with Lauterbach and Green Hills Multi IDE.

Responsibilities

• Develop virtual embedded control systems and VECUs as virtual counterparts of physical ECUs.
• Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to build VECU packages and deploy them in GM environments.
• Validate software packages through functional and non-functional testing and root-cause issues in the virtual environment.
• Support integration of VECUs on virtual benches and maintain simulation/test scripts.
