Job summary

EPAM Systems in the United States seeks an experienced engineer to translate feature requirements into MATLAB/Simulink control models and to develop/update control logic for power and grid applications. You will define interfaces, run simulations, and support SIL/HIL validation while collaborating with embedded developers to ensure integration readiness.

Responsibilities include reviewing design decisions, maintaining model quality, and documenting changes for release.

Qualifications

5+ years of practical delivery experience developing control or embedded-function models in MATLAB/Simulink.
Strong foundation in control systems and dynamic-system behavior, including transient and steady-state results.
Working knowledge of C++ and collaboration with embedded developers.

Responsibilities

Translate feature requirements and control behavior into MATLAB/Simulink models.
Develop and update control logic for active/reactive power, voltage/frequency, and plant coordination.
Define model interfaces, signals, inputs/outputs, and parameter buses.
Build closed-loop simulations with plant/grid models; investigate dynamic responses.
Support SIL/HIL validation and software integration with CI workflows.
Collaborate with PPC C++ developers to review assumptions and integration impacts.
Contribute to failure-mode analysis, verification, and technical documentation.
