Insight Global is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support a client in Huntsville, AL. You will mentor junior engineers and drive design, development, testing, and maintenance of mission-critical software systems, with 50% leadership and 50% hands-on work.

The role emphasizes backend C/C++ development, embedded software, and hardware/software integration. Onsite 100% in Huntsville; ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM field.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Experience leading and providing technical direction to a team.

• DoD experience - preferred Army or Navy background.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for mission-critical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction to the team.

• Support feature development, system integration, code optimization, and modernization initiatives.
