Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop mission-critical software for defense/aerospace applications. You will design, code, test, and debug real-time embedded software on onsite teams in Huntsville, AL.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 4+ years hands-on experience (or 2+ with a Master’s), strong C/C++ skills, RTOS such as VxWorks/FreeRTOS, and the ability to obtain DoD security clearance. Local relocation to North Alabama may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software/embedded related discipline with GPA 3.0+.
• 4+ years of relevant technical experience, or 2+ years with a master’s.
• Candidate must be eligible for U.S. DoD security clearance.
• Experience developing, integrating and testing embedded software with RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, integrate and debug real-time embedded software.
• Collaborate with a team on defense/aerospace embedded systems.
• Perform verification and troubleshooting using embedded debugging tools.
