Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, seeks a Senior Embedded Engineer to lead the design of audio signal-processing subsystems for robots. You will own core audio algorithm design and embedded implementation with a strong math foundation in signal processing.

You will architect the processing pipeline, mentor engineers, validate DSP on real-time platforms, and collaborate across hardware, software, and product teams. This role is based in New York with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Audio/Acoustics, or a related field.
• 7+ years developing DSP algorithms for embedded or real-time systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Architect the audio processing pipeline at the embedded system level.
• Lead audio and signal-processing algorithms across cross-functional teams.
• Integrate and validate DSP algorithms on embedded, real-time platforms.
• Research and specify electroacoustic components (microphones, speakers).
• Adapt and tune algorithms for varying hardware and software constraints.
