Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior technical authority for embedded Linux platform software powering automotive telematics systems. You’ll own architecture from silicon bring-up through production launch with global automakers.

You’ll lead boot, security, memory, and virtualization efforts, define targets, plan Yocto upgrades, and mentor engineers, while aligning with customer commitments and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in a relevant field with multiple years of software experience.
• 3+ years with C/C++, Java, Python and embedded software in automotive contexts.
• Experience with embedded Linux, kernel/bootloaders, and Yocto-based builds.

Responsibilities

• Own the embedded Linux platform stack end-to-end across telematics generations.
• Architect boot, security, memory, and virtualization features and flows.
• Drive OTA update, NAND/eMMC support, and pre/post-silicon validation.
• Define boot-time targets, optimize memory footprint, and meet commitments.
• Plan kernel/Yocto upgrade roadmaps and release trains.
• Mentor engineers and translate customer needs into features.
