Job summary

Rose Hills is seeking an Embalmer Quality Control Lead to oversee QC, mentorship, and final preparations of decedents for viewing and services. The role requires five years as a licensed embalmer and a California Embalmer’s license, plus flexibility to alternate schedules.

You will lead QC initiatives, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate with management to develop SOPs. A valid CA driver’s license is required and the position is on-site in Whittier, CA.

Qualifications

• Licensed Embalmer with at least five years of experience.
• California Embalmer’s license is required (Driver’s license also required).
• Strong mentoring and training abilities for QC staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor QC staff, share best practices and provide feedback.
• Maintain a rigorous QC process for all cases prior to viewing/services.
• Oversee complex cases and provide guidance to associates.
• Develop SOPs and training materials for mortuary/QC teams.
• Continuing education to improve department performance.
