Job summary

Rose Hills is seeking an Embalmer to embalm remains, assist in dressing and cosmetizing, and conduct removals. The role requires handling heavy phone calls, adhering to safety and policy standards, and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and third-party partners.

Applicants must hold a California Embalmer license, a valid CA driver’s license, and be able to work a 4 days on/4 days off schedule with rotating shifts. Perks include comprehensive benefits and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Embalmer’s license with the State of California.
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
• HBV vaccination documentation or consent/refusal form.
• Ability to work around human remains and tolerate odors and chemicals.
• Able to drive company vehicles as needed and lift up to 300 lbs in handling remains.

Responsibilities

• Embalm human remains following mortuary preservation standards.
• Answer heavy phone traffic professionally and courteously.
• Prepare human remains for viewing, burial and final disposition.
• Dress, cosmetize and casket remains; perform removals from places of death.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and comply with policies.
