Service Corporation International's Rose Hills location seeks an Embalmer Quality Control Lead. This senior role requires a licensed embalmer with at least five years of experience and a willingness to alternate schedules to support mortuary operations.

The position includes leading QC, mentoring staff, complex case guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Compensation ranges $28.00–$37.00 per hour with full benefits and 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years’ experience as a licensed Embalmer required.
• CA Embalmer’s License required; Funeral Directors license preferred.
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on mentoring to Quality Control staff and new hires.
• Lead and oversee quality control to ensure highest standards before viewing.
• Oversee complex cases, including reconstructive work and legal considerations.
• Develop SOPs and training modules for mortuary/QC teams.
• Perform embalming, dressing, cosmetizing, and casketing for viewing and services.
