Job summary

TeamHealth seeks a board-certified emergency medicine physician to serve as system medical director, providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple emergency medicine and hospital medicine programs.

You will partner with facility medical directors, hospital leadership, recruiters, and operational teams to drive physician engagement, patient safety, quality improvement, staffing excellence, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in EM, IM, or FM.
• Proven physician leadership experience.
• Strong operational, quality, and team-building skills.
• Experience working with hospital administration and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple EM and hospital medicine programs.
• Partner with facility medical directors, hospital leadership, recruiters, and operations teams to drive engagement, safety, quality and staffing.
• Lead physician leadership development, performance management, recruitment and retention oversight, operational planning, and patient safety initiatives.
