Job summary

Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) seeks a Senior Ellucian Technical and Integrations Engineer to lead integrations across Ellucian Colleague SaaS, Ethos, Experience, and related systems. The role focuses on data interoperability, security, and reliable infrastructure for students, faculty, and staff.

The position requires strong SQL, API, and ERP integration experience, with collaboration across IT teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of experience in systems integration, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise application support.
• Experience with Ellucian Colleague SaaS and related higher education systems.
• Experience with PHP in Ellucian Colleague or other development environments.
• Hands-on experience with Ellucian Experience, Ethos and workflow development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Ellucian Colleague SaaS and third-party campus systems using Ellucian Ethos platform.
• Utilize Ellucian SaaS Extensibility tools to customize workflows, pages, and data points without disrupting core upgrades.
• Manage data exchange processes and ensure data integrity across enterprise platforms.
• Design and implement data model additions based on user requirements.
• Write SQL queries and develop custom reports/dashboards to support analytics.
• Collaborate with vendors, end users and IT teams to support interoperability and troubleshoot issues.
• Support deployment and configuration of middleware, APIs, and automation tools to streamline processes.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security of integrated services.
• Maintain documentation for integration architecture and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to support digital transformation and efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise for enterprise app infrastructure including OS/database administration.
• Identify opportunities where AI can improve integrations and optimization.
• Contribute to IT Services posture and knowledgebase as part of the Technology Team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Information and Technology Officer.
