Job summary

HOPCo is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead a fault-tolerant integration platform in a distributed enterprise environment in Phoenix, AZ. You will define architectural direction with CTO and senior leaders to deliver production-grade systems that safely support growth.

The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and scalable interfaces for other teams. You will apply Elixir/Erlang/OTP expertise in healthcare contexts and mentor engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, with healthcare terminology and HIPAA Security knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own a fault-tolerant integration platform enabling asynchronous communication across enterprise systems.
• Establish and maintain core infrastructure to modernize or replace components without disrupting the ecosystem.
• Develop and steward shared services and libraries for reliability, observability, and resilience as default capabilities.
• Define system boundaries and interfaces to support long-lived platforms and safe evolution.
