Job summary

GoodRx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, ScriptDrop, to lead design and implementation of Elixir-based backend systems on scalable cloud infrastructure. You will mentor engineers, enforce standards, and drive DevOps practices across CI/CD and monitoring.

This role requires deep Elixir expertise, cloud architecture skills (GCP/AWS), and a passion for continuous improvement within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on Elixir and functional programming.
• Strong experience designing scalable backend systems and cloud architectures.
• Proficiency with GCP or AWS, networking concepts, and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of backend systems on Elixir within Google Cloud Platform / cloud-native infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship to junior/mid engineers and promote coding standards and best practices.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably Kubernetes-based) and robust monitoring/logging.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical plans.
