Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking an Electronics Test Validation Engineer to define test strategies and plan analyses for ECU validation. You’ll collaborate with HW/SW teams on test plans, fixtures, and traceability while driving data-driven decisions and risk mitigation across programs.

The role emphasizes electrical stress testing, durability tests, and environmental plans, with opportunities to impact safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of testing experience in automotive or aerospace/defense.
• Experience with bench testing, thermal chambers, Electrical, EMC.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• CAN/CAN-FD/LIN/Flexray knowledge.
• Soldering and harness fabrication experience (preferred).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with software, electrical and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute durability, electrical and functional validation testing for ECUs, focusing on electrical stress testing.
• Develop detailed test plans and fixtures in collaboration with HW/SW design teams.
• Establish traceability using requirement management tools and version control.
• Develop test strategy, test cases, and environmental/test plans.
• Provide data analytics from tests conducted.
• Create test development schedules and test execution schedules.
• Investigate test failures through data analysis and failure reproduction.
• Identify and assess potential risks that could impact timing, cost or quality.
• Continuously improve safety, performance, and customer satisfaction with Rivian products.
• Collaborate with various Design and Engineering teams.
