Job summary

The Fountain Group in Fridley, MN is seeking an electronics technician for a 5+ month contract in Fridley, MN. The role requires an associate degree or higher and 2–4+ years of relevant experience; candidates should have bench-level troubleshooting and experience with surface-mount PCB

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• 2-4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong bench level troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing surface-mount PCB rework, read electrical schematics, and independently test electronic hardware using lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic components, circuit boards, and systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
• Perform hardware testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, loads/sources, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.
• Conduct thermal and environmental testing, including operation of environmental chambers.
• Support EMI/EMC testing and apply applicable test methods and best practices.
• Prepare prototypes and test samples by installing probes and developing test fixtures.
• Perform soldering and rework on fine-pitch electronic components.
• Verify equipment calibration status and execute testing per procedures.
