Job summary

Compunnel Inc. in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a hands-on Electronics Test Technician to assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic components, circuit boards, and systems.

You will read schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documents, perform hardware tests with oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and data acquisition systems, and conduct environmental and EMI/EMC tests.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical or engineering field required.
• Hands-on work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic components, circuit boards, and systems.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
• Perform hardware testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, AC/DC loads and sources, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.
• Conduct thermal and environmental testing, including operation of environmental chambers.
• Support EMI/EMC testing and apply applicable test methods and best practices.
• Prepare prototypes and test samples by installing probes, building wire harnesses, and developing test fixtures.
• Perform soldering and rework, including fine-pitch electronic components, following quality standards.
• Verify equipment calibration status and execute testing per approved procedures and work instructions.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Maintain test records, equipment logs, and laboratory documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers to support product development, validation testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
