Job summary

Kearfott Corporation in New Jersey seeks an Electronics Test Equipment Technician to support troubleshooting, repair, and long-term reliability of advanced laser manufacturing equipment. The role requires reading schematics and applying IPC J-STD-001 standards in hands-on electronics repairs.

You will perform preventive maintenance, update SOPs, and train technicians and engineers to follow established procedures in a multidisciplinary team environment. A US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in electronics assembly and repair.
• Experience with programming for test software (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
• IPC J-STD-001 environment experience in electronics repair.
• Capable of working independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot test equipment electronics and control software.
• Read and interpret schematics for electro-mechanical components.
• Repair electronics per industry standards (IPC J-STD-001).
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
• Create/update SOPs for day-to-day systems use.
• Train technicians and engineers on documented procedures.
