Job summary

Safran S.A. in Carson, CA is seeking a Sr. Technician, Electronics to join the Engineering team. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, calibration and installation of electronic equipment, with hands-on SMT soldering, board testing and fault isolation.

You will troubleshoot high-power electronics up to 8KW, design and maintain test fixtures, and produce test reports while collaborating with engineers and vendors. This is a full-time on-site opportunity supporting lab operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SMT soldering experience and component-level repair.
• Experience testing and debugging electronic assemblies.
• Ability to create test reports and troubleshoot to fault isolation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic device boards; investigate faults to component level.
• Perform soldering of PCB components and assemble test fixtures.
• Support manufacturing testing, generate functional/performance test reports.
• Install, calibrate and repair high power electronics equipment (up to 8KW) and associated test rigs.
• Maintain documentation, procedures and records for tasks performed.
