Job summary

Safran Federal Systems seeks a senior electrical engineer specializing in RF design to design, develop and test PCBs and hardware for RF/mixed-signal systems. You will lead RF-related design efforts across the hardware lifecycle, from schematics to integration and validation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in RF and electrical hardware design and validation.
• Hands-on RF systems design and testing.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro or OrCAD.
• Understanding of high-speed PCB layout and RF isolation.
• Familiarity with FCC, MIL-STD and EMI/EMC testing.
• Active US Government Security Clearance at Secret level or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, build and test PCB prototypes, including debugging and troubleshooting.
• Develop and test electrical hardware systems and components for RF/analog/digital designs.
• Perform circuit design, simulation and analysis (analog, digital, mixed-signal).
• Guide system integration and optimization of RF/photonic subsystems.
• Support RF performance analysis including impedance matching, noise figure, signal integrity.
• Design and validate RF circuits including match networks, filters, amplifiers for transceivers.
• Translate component specs into system requirements and validate RF performance.
• Develop/test RF test infrastructure and documentation.
