Job summary

Safran Cabin in Carson, CA is seeking a Principal Engineer, Electronics to lead research, design, and validation of electronics for aerospace systems. You will own complex projects involving VFMDs, power converters, valve controllers, and W&W system components, ensuring robust, airworthy performance.

You will apply deep expertise in analog/digital control, EMI design, and aerospace standards while guiding a team through development, testing, and product maturation.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills with circuit and system-level analysis using PSPICE/PSIM/MATLAB/Simulink.
• Strong design experience in DC-DC converters, active rectifiers, gate drives, sensor circuits, EMI filters.
• Familiarity with RTCA/DO-160 and RTCA/DO-254 aerospace guidelines.
• Experience with lab testing, instrumentation setup and data analysis.
• Proven leadership abilities and teamwork in demanding development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing and modification of aerospace electronics and W&W system components.
• Interface with cross-functional groups to ensure airworthy, compliant designs within budget and schedule.
• Drive improvement activities at group or company level and mentor engineering team members.
