Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to support the Strategic Sourcing team across North America and internationally as needed.

The role concentrates on electronics commodities and drives value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation and Sustainability. You will lead supplier evaluations, perform spend analyses, and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Saab affiliates, to plan near and long-term needs while promoting a diverse and inclusive supply

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts.
• Manage approved supplier lists for electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand the supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics.
• Identify risks and opportunities with SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Saab affiliates on near and long-term needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to assess capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reductions and lead initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
