Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing activities for electronics across North America and internationally.

You will develop category strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and manage supplier performance to drive value in quality, delivery, and cost. The role requires strong financial acumen, a solid electronics background, and leadership skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and Saab affiliates worldwide.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s, in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation and Sustainability.
• Lead identification, evaluation, selection, negotiation and award of first-time contracts with suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win-biz by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics or other categories.
• Identify risks and opportunities via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Saab affiliates to determine future needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analyses to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Collaborate to develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
