Saab AB in the United States is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to join the Strategic Sourcing team. You will lead electronics category strategies and manage supplier relationships across North America and international partners to support defense, security, and manufacturing programs.

The role emphasizes market research, risk assessments, spend analysis, supplier evaluations, and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with Master’s degree in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to improve cost, quality, delivery, innovation, and sustainability.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win-biz by vetting and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and commodity categories.
• Conduct market research and analyze trends for electronics categories.
• Identify risks and opportunities within electronics through SWOT and risk assessments.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to determine near and long-term needs.
• Create adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to find cost-reduction opportunities and drive initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. small business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Collaborate to develop supplier evaluation and scoring systems for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify standard operating procedures and work instructions.
