Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Longmont, CO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III for electronics fabrication to apply standard engineering methods to plan and execute fabrication for electrical assemblies used in aerospace systems. You will develop production processes and ground support equipment, with a hands-on production focus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with complex electrical aerospace hardware.
  • Experience diagnosing non-conforming electrical hardware and assemblies.
  • Proficiency with DFMA and Design for Manufacture principles.
  • Familiarity with NASA IPC/NASA-STD-8339.1, DO-254, IPC-7711/7721, and related standards.
  • 3D CAD proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support to technician team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Lead troubleshooting and disposition of non-conforming avionics hardware, software, firmware, and electrical systems.
  • Drive isolation, containment, and resolution of NC parts and assemblies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and RC/CA to prevent recurrence of manufacturing issues.
  • Support design and operational gated reviews with technical artifacts and readiness assessments.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to implement Engineering Change Requests (CRs) to improve manufacturability.
