Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join Core Systems & Components and advance the design, development, and production of complex electronic systems. You will work with COMSEC and Electrical Hardware Design teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

You will lead manufacturing engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, drive new product introduction, perform DFM/DFT reviews, support PCB

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing engineering or related hardware discipline.
• Hands-on experience with PCB fabrication, assembly and test processes.
• Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 or equivalent standards.
• Experience conducting DFM/DFT reviews and working with CAD/EDA tools.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional hardware and software teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support electronics manufacturing engineering activities across the full product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with COMSEC and Electrical Hardware teams to ensure manufacturability and design compliance.
• Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
• Drive new product introduction (NPI) and oversee transition from prototype to full-rate production.
• Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) reviews.
• Support PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly processes with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing defects, process failures, and quality issues via root cause analysis.
• Partner with supply chain to qualify vendors and manage component sourcing.
• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with applicable standards and security requirements.
