Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Principal Electronics Integration Engineer to join the team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The role focuses on avionics subsystem design and its integration, with emphasis on electromagnetics, sensor validation, and payload systems.

The candidate must hold an active US Top Secret clearance (SCI and SAP clearances possible) and be able to travel up to 25%. On-site work is required with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR Master's degree in STEM and 3 years; OR PhD and 1 year.
• Experience interfacing with supplier teams to resolve NG lab issues.
• Demonstrated history resolving integration issues with IPTs and suppliers to meet schedule.
• Ability to work effectively in a team of engineers and technicians.
• Practical experience with payload systems.
• Active US Government Top Secret Clearance with potential for SCI and SAP clearances.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with design and development of a newly developed avionics subsystem and oversee its integration.
• Contribute to electromagnetics, communications, optics, and sensor performance validation.
• Work on-site full-time at the Rancho Bernardo facility and coordinate with internal teams.
