Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rancho Bernardo, CA seeks a Staff Electronics Engineer - Ground System Architect/Integrator to join the Avionics Integration Organization. The role is on-site with potential hybrid work and up to 25% travel.

Applicants should hold a STEM degree with extensive experience, active Secret clearance, and strong expertise in ground system architecture, hardware design, and PLM/ECAD tools. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of experience; or a Master’s with 10+ years; or a PhD with 7+ years.
Experience with aerospace Ground System architecture.
Experience in hardware design, hardware architecture, or systems engineering.
Experience creating and maintaining engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and product documentation.
Experience with configuration management and engineering change processes.
Ability to develop and maintain architecture documentation and system diagrams.
Experience using PLM/PDM for drawing management and product release.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and design documentation.
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management.
Active US Government Secret Clearance (or in Continuous Evaluation).

Responsibilities

Determine customer needs and develop approaches, interfaces, and requirements.
Survey industry for awareness of customer needs and alternative systems.
Lead trade studies, technology development, and subcontractor teams.
Lead technical and cost proposals.
Write white papers and provide leadership to software integration and engineering teams.
