Job summary

Teledyne FLIR, a Teledyne Technologies company, is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to design, develop, test, and innovate electronic hardware and PCBAs for infrared sensing technologies. This on-site role is based in Niceville, Florida, with regular access to lab equipment and hardware systems.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle, contribute to FPGA firmware efforts, and document technical work while supporting next-generation sensing and imaging

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and debugging electronic hardware and PCBAs.
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or similar.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
• FPGA design and development experience is advantageous.
• FPGA development tools such as Intel/Altera Quartus or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), including schematic capture and board layout
• Test, validate, troubleshoot, and improve electronic hardware designs
• Contribute to FPGA firmware design and development efforts
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and product managers throughout the product lifecycle
• Participate in Agile development activities, technical reviews, and project planning
• Support the development of next-generation sensing and imaging products
• Create technical documentation, application notes, and technical reports
• Develop innovative technical solutions and support intellectual property creation
