Job summary

Masimo, a Danaher operating company in Irvine, CA, seeks a Sr Engineer II, Electronics to lead the design, development, verification, and support of complex electronic hardware for medical devices.

You will collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing and quality engineering teams, drive technical solutions across the hardware lifecycle, and contribute to product performance, reliability and regulatory compliance through design reviews and sustaining activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with 6+ years of progressive experience in electronics design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting PCB layout, board bring-up, and high-speed design methodologies.
• Familiarity with full product development lifecycle from concept through production.
• Experience designing within medical devices or other regulated product development environments.
• Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 and related compliance standards.
• Experience supporting EMC/EMI design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to signal integrity and power integrity concepts.
• Experience with electrical simulation tools such as PSPICE, Multisim, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for medical device applications.
• Support hardware development activities across the engineering lifecycle, including schematic design, implementation, verification, and sustaining engineering.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to integrate hardware solutions into finished products.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute technical input during major project milestones.
• Support product and component failure investigations and recommend corrective design improvements.
