Job summary

Masimo seeks a Sr Engineer II, Electronics in Irvine, CA to lead analog and digital circuit design for medical devices. You will drive hardware development across the lifecycle, perform verification, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, reliability, and regulatory objectives.

Responsibilities include board-level design, test plan execution, root cause analyses, and sustaining engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in electronics design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting PCB layout, board bring-up, and debugging activities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
• Experience supporting embedded systems and firmware interaction during board bring-up and testing.
• Fluent English communication and ability to document technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analog and digital circuits for medical device applications.
• Support hardware development across the lifecycle, including schematic design, implementation, verification, and sustaining engineering.
• Perform circuit board and flex cable design activities with PCB layout teams.
• Develop and analyze board-level and system-level verification test plans.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and support root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate hardware solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input at major milestones.
• Support failure investigations and implement corrective design improvements.
• Manage assigned tasks, deliverables, and timelines within project scope.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design quality, reliability, manufacturability.
