Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer (Level 5) to design and test complex electrical systems for defense platforms. The position requires deep engineering expertise, DoD clearance eligibility, and a track record in aerospace or defense environments, with on-site work in Oklahoma City and 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree with 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD with 7 years of related engineering experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance & special program access
• Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex integrated test systems
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total systems in a laboratory environment
• Oversee engineering design and 2D drawing formats and standards for electrical products
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet project schedules
• Assist in troubleshooting lab equipment and failures
• Generate reports and present to Government counterparts and cross-functional teams
