Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) in Salem, NH seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineering Design Technician to test, rework and debug printed circuit boards and to build experimental setups for design testing of high-speed electromechanical assemblies for new product development.

You will contribute to the development of laser engraving and inkjet printing products within a multinational team, handling design validation, documenting results, building prototypes, and interfacing with vendors while

Qualifications

Associate degree and 10+ years of professional experience.
Experience reworking PCBs and soldering to add or remove components.
Experience with at least one data acquisition system.
Use of lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, Function generator, soldering station).
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Debug and design validation of board and system level electronic designs.
Design validation testing (major focus on electronics).
Conduct testing of mechanical, electrical, and optical components, subsystems and systems.
Document experimental conditions and test results.
Build prototypes and test fixtures; interface with external vendors for complex parts.
Inspect incoming parts; manage lab and lab equipment, including calibration.
Effectively interact with other members of the technical team to create a safe, productive environment.
Design and verify cables.
