Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) in Salem, NH is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineering Design Technician to test, rework and debug PCB designs and build experimental setups for high-speed electromechanical assemblies in new product development.

You will contribute to the development of laser engraving and inkjet printing products within a multinational team; the role requires PCB rework, data acquisition, reading schematics, and lab instrumentation, plus strong communication and a desire to

Qualifications

• Minimum: an associate’s degree and 10+ years of professional experience.
• Experience reworking PCBs, solder to add or remove components.
• Experience with at least one data acquisition system.
• Use of lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, Function generator, soldering station, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Debug under the guidance of an Engineer.
• Attention to details; eagerness to learn new skills and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; MS Office tools.
• Altium Designer (a plus); 3D CAD experience (a plus); motor drives programming (a plus).
• Jr. level PCB layout and design (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Debug and design validation of board and system level electronic designs.
• Design validation testing with a major focus on electronics.
• Conduct testing of mechanical, electrical, and optical components, subsystems and systems.
• Document experimental conditions and test results.
• Build prototypes and test fixtures; interface with external vendors for complex parts.
• Inspect incoming parts; manage lab and lab equipment including calibration.
• Interact with the technical team to maintain a safe, productive environment.
• Design and verify cables.
