Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) in Salem, NH is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineering Design Technician to test, rework and debug PCBs and build experimental setups for new product development of laser engraving and inkjet printing systems.

You will contribute to validation of electronics, manage lab equipment, and collaborate with a multinational team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has an associate degree and 10+ years of experience, strong soldering and debugging skills,

Qualifications

Minimum: an associate’s degree and 10+ years of professional experience.
Experience reworking PCBs, soldering to add or remove components.
Experience with at least one data acquisition system.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Debug under the guidance of an Engineer.
Attention to details and strong communication skills.
MS Office tools; Altium is a plus.
3D CAD experience and motor drives programming are pluses.

Responsibilities

Debug and design validation of board and system level electronic designs.
Design validation testing focused on electronics.
Build experimental setups for design testing of high-speed electromechanical assemblies.
Document experimental conditions and test results.
Build prototypes and test fixtures; interface with external vendors for complex parts.
Inspect incoming parts and manage lab equipment.
Collaborate with team to create a safe, productive work environment.
Design and verify cables.
