Job summary

Saab, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and international sites, driving value in quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.

You will develop category strategies, evaluate suppliers, conduct spend analysis, manage risk, and collaborate with Saab Affiliates to meet near- and long-term needs, including travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering is required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with Master’s degree, in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Q, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and awards for new suppliers across business units.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win-back by identifying and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand spend and supplier base.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics categories.
• Identify risks and opportunities within electronics via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Saab affiliates to forecast near- and long-term needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand capabilities, people, and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab’s Small Business objectives and promote a diverse supplier base.
• Develop supplier evaluation framework for data-driven decisions.
