Avalir is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to procure electronic components and related materials for PCBA production in Chatsworth, CA. You will ensure parts are sourced, ordered, and delivered to meet build schedules and customer commitments, interfacing with Project Management, Planning, Engineering, and Quality teams.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and support ITAR/EAR compliance while contributing to the Customer Focus Team for high-profile accounts.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 6+ years as an electronics buyer or procurement specialist.
• Systems: hands-on ERP/MRP experience; Epicor preferred; strong Excel skills.
• Commercial: proven negotiation, sourcing, and supplier management abilities.

Responsabilités

• Source and purchase electronic components to BOMs and schedules.
• Create, issue, and manage POs in Epicor ERP; ensure accuracy.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and delivery with suppliers.
• Review MRP signals to determine purchasing requirements.
• Manage open PO backlog and expedite deliveries as needed.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and alternate sources.
