Job summary

Chenega Security International, LLC is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Systems Technician III for maintenance and service support on a DoD project. The role emphasizes independent troubleshooting and system installation across access control, video, and network infrastructures.

The technician will diagnose faults across field devices, cabling, servers, and software, perform upgrades, and ensure system readiness through testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience in electronic security systems or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience performing maintenance, service, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and installation of electronic security systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform advanced troubleshooting without direct technical supervision or reliance on remote support.
• Ability to diagnose system issues, determine root causes, develop corrective actions, and restore systems to operational condition.
• Strong knowledge of IP-based electronic security systems and system integration.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, IP networks, alarm systems, security system field devices, control panels, servers, workstations, and associated infrastructure.
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues across multiple technical layers and fields.
• Ability to document troubleshooting activities, deficiencies, repairs, and configuration changes.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic security systems including access control, intrusion, video, network infrastructure and related equipment.
• Respond to service calls independently and diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve failures without on-site supervision.
• Systematically isolate faults across field devices, cabling, power, controllers, network, servers, software, and configuration.
• Identify deficiencies and root causes; determine and implement corrective actions within authority.
• Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance per requirements and schedules.
• Restore malfunctioning systems and verify proper functionality after repairs.
• Install new ESS, perform expansions, upgrades, and equipment replacements.
• Install conduits and low-voltage wiring, terminate, label, test, and perform related work.
• Install/replace head-end equipment, control panels, servers, workstations, network gear, cameras, readers, door hardware, sensors, power supplies.
• Configure, integrate, test, checkout, and commission systems within training/authorization.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, docs, and manuals for maintenance and installation.
• Document service calls, troubleshooting steps, repairs, replacements, configuration changes, and maintenance actions.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and user training as required.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on deficiencies, materials, and escalation issues.
• Maintain accountability of tools, equipment, parts, and materials.
• Comply with safety, quality, site procedures, and customer security requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
