Job summary

Chenega Corporation seeks an experienced Electronic Security Systems Technician III to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced security systems in mission-critical environments across Maryland.

You will work with access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, intercom, fiber optics, and asset-tracking systems, ensuring reliability and compliance while meeting customer requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of non-residential electronic security installation and troubleshooting.
• Or 6+ years plus completion of a U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, or accredited electronics apprenticeship program.
• Or 4+ years of experience with an Associate's degree in Electronics.
• Or 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics.
• LENEL OnGuard 7.3 Access Control Certification required.
• Minimum of two active OEM certifications, such as: CEIA, Smiths Detection, Morpho Detection, Panasonic CCTV, Pathminder, Delta/Koei Vehicle Barrier.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Ability to meet all customer and site access requirements.
• Successfully pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic security systems.
• Diagnose and resolve system, network, and equipment issues using diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Repair and maintain security devices, field equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and verification to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and other trades to support project requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all company, customer, and safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned
