Job summary

Chenega Security International, LLC is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician III to maintain and service ESS for a Department of War project. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic security systems and related technical fields.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ESS independently.
• Strong knowledge of IP-based security systems and system integration.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring, IP networks, and security hardware.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ability to document troubleshooting activities and completed work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ESS (access control, intrusion, video, network, and security equipment).
• Respond to service calls independently and diagnose system failures without on-site supervision.
• Isolate faults across field devices, cabling, power, controllers, networks, and servers.
• Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions within authority.
• Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance per schedules.
• Restore malfunctioning systems to operational condition and verify functionality.
• Install new ESS, perform expansions, upgrades, and replacements.
• Install conduit and low-voltage cabling; perform termination and testing.
• Install and configure head-end equipment, servers, workstations, network gear, cameras, readers, and sensors.
• Configure, program, integrate, test, and commission systems within training scope.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and product documentation.
• Document service calls and changes; provide on-site user training as needed.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on deficiencies and material needs.
• Maintain tools, parts, and equipment accountability.
• Comply with safety, quality, and customer requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
